Cuyahoga Counts Census 2020

We're counting on you!

The 2020 Census is more than a population count. It's an opportunity to shape our community's future. Census data informs federal funding for more than 100 programs, including Medicaid, school lunches, highway construction, food assistance and education. Census data is also used to determine congressional representation.

Every individual resident in Cuyahoga County is unique and relies on different federal, state, and local programs which use census data. Some people may not even realize that they are benefitting from programs funded by the federal government that use census data.

Currently, more than half of all households in the City of Cleveland have not responded, and over a third of all households in Cuyahoga County remain uncounted. If these rates do not rise significantly before September 30th, our community will be severely under-counted, and we will lose Federal aid and standing for the next decade!
