What You Will Do

  • Provides communication support for diet office/tray line.
  • Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients/customers.
  • Processes patient meal orders.
  • Ability to guide patients in choosing meal items per therapeutic diet needs.
  • Provides age-specific care to patients aged child through the elderly.
  • Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers.
  • Initiates and maintains positive relationships with co-workers.
  • Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment.
  • Follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures related to patient safety including proper food safety procedures.

Education

  • High School Equivalent / GED (Preferred)

Work Experience

  • 1+ years Customer service experience (Required) and
  • 1+ years Food service experience (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills (Required proficiency)
  • Ability to communicate professionally over the phone (Required proficiency)
  • Exhibits strong organizational skills and work ethic (Required proficiency)
  • Intermediate computer skills – ability to use various software and applications (Required proficiency)
