Guide to Inclusive Places, Jobs, and Events

People with developmental disabilities should be able to access and participate fully in a community where they are welcomed, included, and supported. To this end, Cuyahoga DD has developed a user-friendly way to identify accessible, adaptive and inclusive activities in the community. Cuyahoga DD will maintain a Guide to Inclusive Places, Jobs and Events that will allow individuals, families and providers to better connect individuals with developmental disabilities to employment, adaptive and inclusive recreation programs and other desired community activities and resources.

Cuyahoga DD created guidance on actions businesses should take to ensure that they are welcoming of all people and able to support their inclusion in all activities, programs and events. Upon successful evidence of meeting this guidance. Cuyahoga DD will promote, via our website and our inclusive guidebook, all businesses that achieve this level of commitment as it strengthens our desire for a more inclusive community and society.  You can click here to view the ALL Means ALL guidance.

If you know a business that is inclusive, accessible or offers adaptive activities and/or and should be highlighted in this guide OR one that needs support/resources to be more inclusive, please share this business with Janet Keeler, Division Manager of Community Development, at keeler.janet@cuyahogabdd.org.
