Grants Awarded to Arts orgs, Libraries and rec centers

$339,000 in Awards to Local Arts & Culture, Recreation Organizations, Libraries

March is National Developmental Disability Awareness Month (NDDAM). To kick off NDDAM and to demonstrate its commitment to inclusion in action, Cuyahoga DD is pleased to announce the recipients of $339,000 in grant funding that will support Cuyahoga County arts and culture organizations, libraries, and recreation centers and providers in creating and/or expanding inclusive, adaptive, and accessible programming for people of all ages with disabilities.

2023 arts and culture recipients include Art Therapy Studio, Bad Racket Recording Studio, BayArts, Beck Center for the Arts, Beyond Words Music & Dance Center, Broadway School of Music & Art, Future Ink Graphics, North Pointe Ballet, NPower Services, Oh Sew Powerful, Shalom & Tranquility Garden, Talespinner Children’s Theatre, Theatre Agape, Valley Art Center, Western Reserve Historical Society and Youth Challenge.

2023 library recipients include East Cleveland Public Library, Rocky River Public Library, and Westlake Porter Public Library.

2023 recreation recipients include 3 Trackers of Ohio, Adaptive Sports Ohio, Bedford Parks & Recreation, Brook Park Recreation Center, Chagrin Falls CrossFit, Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Ohio, Empower Sports, ICAN City of Independence, Jacob’s Ladder Special Needs Fitness, Orange Community Education & Recreation, Middleburg Heights Recreation Center, Rec2Connect, Shuai Chiao Kung Fu Academy, Solon Recreation Center, STAR Summer Camp, Thrive Tennis Foundation and Westshore YMCA.
